Southern Nash put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Hunt Warriors. That's more bragging rights for the Firebirds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

SARAH EWERS made a splash while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, CARLEE BECKHAM was excellent, scoring two runs while going 4-for-1. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was KELSEY JONES, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Southern Nash always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .793. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Southern Nash's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Hunt, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Coming up, Southern Nash will host Rocky Mount at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hunt, they will head out to take on West Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
