Baseball Recap: Flowing Wells Comes Up Short

Flowing Wells lost against Pusch Ridge Christian Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Flowing Wells fell just short of Pusch Ridge Christian Academy by a score of 9-8.

Diego Kisner was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Tommy Padilla also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Flowing Wells' loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flowing Wells will venture away from home to square off against Nogales at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nogales will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Flowing Wells surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pusch Ridge Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Thatcher at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
