Soccer Recap: St. Joseph Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Joseph Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Jackson Prep Patriots. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi soccer rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Patriots are ranked 18th).

St. Joseph Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Jackson Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-6-1 record this season.

St. Joseph Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Hartfield Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jackson Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Washington on the 24th.
