Carroll County waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Galax Maroon Tide a 21-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Carroll County pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Galax, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll County will host Radford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
