Preview: Ridgedale Rockets vs. Fredericktown Freddies
The Ridgedale Rockets will be playing at home against the Fredericktown Freddies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Ridgedale narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Elgin 53-50. The win was all the more spectacular given Ridgedale's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Elgin is ranked 58th).
Meanwhile, Fredericktown beat East Knox 49-39 on Saturday.
Cally Carpenter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Fredericktown's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jill Bouton, who scored 8 points along with 5 blocks and 4 steals.
Ridgedale now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Fredericktown, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
