Baseball Game Preview: Fulton Steamers vs. Erie-Prophetstown Panthers

The Fulton Steamers will head out on the road to square off against the Erie-Prophetstown Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Fulton came up short against Rock Falls and fell 6-2. The Steamers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Erie-Prophetstown posted their closest win since April 10th on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Newman Central Catholic 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Parker Rangel was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Evan Steimle was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Fulton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Erie-Prophetstown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
