Baseball Game Preview: Cactus Cobras vs. Peoria Panthers

Cactus is 0-10 against Peoria since April of 2019 but things could change on Monday. Cactus is taking a road trip to challenge Peoria at 3:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Cactus didn't have quite enough to beat Agua Fria and fell 6-5. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cactus saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Phoenix Huisinga, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Cactus is 2-1 when Huisinga posts two or more runs, but 2-10 otherwise. Raven Anderson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Peoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Estrella Foothills, falling 15-1.

Cactus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Peoria, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Cactus couldn't quite finish off Peoria when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can Cactus avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
