The Griffith Institute Griffins will take on the Tonawanda Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Griffith Institute is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 14.6 runs per game this season.

Griffith Institute took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against Olean, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Griffins had just enough and edged out the Huskies 11-10 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Griffins.

Grace Ricci was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierstin Crone, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Griffith Institute was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Tonawanda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Alden, falling 19-3.

Griffith Institute's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Tonawanda, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Griffith Institute's way against Tonawanda in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Griffith Institute made off with a 23-7 victory. Do the Griffins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Timberwolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
