Softball Recap: Alexandria Takes a Loss

Alexandria fell victim to Moorhead and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Spuds, falling 11-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Spuds: they've now lost three in a row.

Alexandria saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gretta Kelly, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Alexandria's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Moorhead, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alexandria will challenge Rocori at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moorhead, they will square off against Sauk Rapids-Rice at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
