Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Clockers vs. Dover-Sherborn Raiders

Ashland hasn't had much luck against Dover-Sherborn recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Ashland Clockers will face off against the Dover-Sherborn Raiders at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ashland is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 61-37 to Medfield. While losing is never fun, the Clockers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 230th, while the Warriors are ranked 95th).

Meanwhile, Dover-Sherborn was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 60-56 to Westwood. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly four points.

Ashland's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Dover-Sherborn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Ashland lost to Dover-Sherborn on the road by a decisive 66-47 margin in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Ashland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
