Basketball Recap: Bowman Academy Extends Winning Streak to Two

Bowman Academy won the last time they faced Hammond Bishop Noll, and Kahlen Robinson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bowman Academy Eagles came out on top against the Hammond Bishop Noll Warriors by a score of 58-45 on Tuesday thanks in part to Robinson, who went 12 for 26 on her way to 31 points in addition to seven boards and seven steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bowman Academy's points.

Another player making a difference was Janiyah Jackson, who went 5 of 10 en route to 11 points and six rebounds. What's more, she also racked up three assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024.

Hammond Bishop Noll's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ecrin Mart, who posted 20 points and four steals. Mart has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times she's played. Jaiden Hall was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

The win made it two in a row for Bowman Academy and bumps their season record up to 8-9. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.

Bowman Academy has already played their next matchup, a 65-26 loss against Marquette Catholic on the 22nd. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they will take on Wheeler at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
