Softball Game Preview: Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs vs. Mariana Bracetti Academy

The Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs will face off against Mariana Bracetti Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Maritime Academy Charter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Maritime Academy Charter beat Thomas A. Edison 14-10. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Seadogs.

Jordyn Kile was incredible, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Jaycie Clark, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Maritime Academy Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Mariana Bracetti Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-16 victory over Thomas A. Edison.
