Football Recap: Skyridge Falcons vs. Mountain Ridge Sentinels
Skyridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mountain Ridge Sentinels 52-17. The Falcons pushed the score to 38-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Sentinels had little chance of recovering from.

Kaneal Sweetwyne went supernova, throwing for 385 yards and six touchdowns while completing 83.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 88 yards and one score. Those 385 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Tahi, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Mountain Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxon Hunt, who rushed for 40 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also threw for 250 yards on 23 of 47 attempts. 115 of Hunt's passing yards were hauled in by Grayden Dumas.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyridge will host Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lehi at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
