Soccer Recap: Silsbee Takes a Loss

Silsbee and Vidor combined for 19 shots on goal on Friday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. The Silsbee Tigers came up short against the Vidor Pirates, falling 4-1. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Tigers couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Michael Gutierrez, who's now up to 15 this season.

Silsbee is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10. As for Vidor, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-14.

Coming up, Silsbee will head out to take on Jasper at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Vidor, they will welcome Little Cypress-Mauriceville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
