Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Harvest Prep

Harvest Prep came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Dublin Jerome Celtics with a sharp 64-41 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Celtics are ranked 588th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Harvest Prep to victory were Jamarcus Jones and Ephraim Campbell. Jones went 6 of 9 en route to 16 points and seven steals, while Campbell dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Roddy, who posted ten points along with five assists and five steals.

Harvest Prep pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Dublin Jerome, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Harvest Prep won't have much time to rest: their next game is against First Baptist Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Harvest Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully First Baptist Academy likes a good challenge. As for Dublin Jerome, they will challenge Olentangy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Olentangy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.7 points per game this season.
