Softball Recap: Brooke Comes Up Short

Brooke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Poland Seminary Bulldogs, falling 12-1.

Brooke saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emilee McKinney, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that McKinney hit this season.

Brooke's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Poland Seminary, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Brooke will head out to face off against Harrison Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Brooke's pitchers better be ready for this one: Harrison Central has averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Poland Seminary, they will host Hubbard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hubbard's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Poland Seminary's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
