Softball Recap: Maynard Tigers vs. Murdock Blue Devils
Maynard entered their tilt with Murdock on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Blue Devils 14-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Ryleigh Raschi was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Maynard got a massive performance out of Calleigh Currier, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Maddy Karlon was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
Maynard was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Murdock only posted a batting average of .208.
Maynard's record is now 4-1. As for Murdock, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
Coming up, Maynard will venture away from home to face off against Gardner at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.86 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Murdock, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Tahanto Regional at 4:00 p.m.
