Basketball Recap: Abbie Litchfield's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Coastal Homeschool over Providence Athletic Club

Coastal HomeSchool was the 49-37 winner over Providence Athletic Club when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes took a hard 41-27 fall against the Providence Athletic Club Panthers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 441st in Georgia, while the Panthers are ranked 207th in South Carolina).

Coastal HomeSchool's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abbie Litchfield, who posted five points and 11 rebounds.

Coastal HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 10-18. As for Providence Athletic Club, their record is now 8-15.

Coastal HomeSchool wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 48-36 win against Brunswick Christian Academy on the 18th. Providence Athletic Club will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Christian Educational Consortium at 10:30 p.m. on March 4th.
