Baseball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Lowell who claimed the real prize. The Eagles came up short against the Cardinals, falling 9-3. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Wilson, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Washington's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Lowell, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will challenge St. Patrick-St. Vincent at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lowell, they will square off against Oakland Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
