Softball Recap: Manual Arts Comes Up Short

Manual Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 26-9 to the Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Phoenix this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-3 back in March.

Manual Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Manual Arts will take on rival Diego Rivera at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dr. Maya Angelou Community is set to challenge their familiar foe West Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
