Baseball Game Preview: Shady Side Academy Bulldogs vs. Steel Valley Ironmen

For the second straight game, Shady Side Academy will face off against Steel Valley. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Ironmen at 3:00 p.m.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Shady Side Academy turned things around against Steel Valley on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Ironmen by a score of 7-4.

David Dillon was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brian Firman, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Shady Side Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Shady Side Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Steel Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
