Basketball Recap: Wayne City Takes a Loss

Wayne City lost against Mt. Carmel back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wayne City Indians had to suffer through a 64-9 loss at the hands of the Mt. Carmel Golden Aces. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Mt. Carmel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Maycee Randall out in front who went 8-for-14 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. Riley Hershey was another key player, going 6-for-8 on her way to 14 points along with six assists and five boards.

This is the second loss in a row for Wayne City and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Mt. Carmel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Wayne City nor Mt. Carmel have any future games scheduled.
