Basketball Game Preview: Ravenna Bluejays vs. Twin River Titans

The Ravenna Bluejays will square off against the Twin River Titans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ravenna will be strutting in after a victory while Twin River will be coming in after a loss.

Ravenna was handed a 21-point defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They had just enough and edged Gibbon out 48-45. The win continues a trend for the Bluejays in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won six in a row.

Ravenna's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emmarie Lutz, who posted 11 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Lutz has posted since back in December of 2024. Reannon Siegel was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Ravenna smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Twin River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Humphrey-Lindsay 60-26. The contest marked the Titans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Twin River's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Ravenna, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-18.
