Football Game Preview: Bradenton Christian Panthers vs. Academy at the Lakes Wildcats

The Bradenton Christian Panthers will square off against the Academy at the Lakes Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Bradenton Christian sitting on six straight wins dating back to last season and Academy at the Lakes on four.

On Friday, Bradenton Christian really took it to The Classical Academy of Sarasota for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-6 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 26 points or more this season.

Bradenton Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Henderson out in front who picked up 268 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Henderson's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards. Another passer making a difference was Holland Hume, who threw for 292 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.2 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, Academy at the Lakes faced Sports Leadership & Management in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats never let the Spartans get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory. That 26 point margin sets a new team best for the Wildcats this season.

Bradenton Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Academy at the Lakes, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
