Preview: Faith Christian vs. Manitou Springs

Faith Christian were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last week, as they fell 17-23 to Kent Denver. Faith Christian's loss came about despite a quality game from junior Isaiah Kroll, who accumulated 113 passing yards and punched in 1 rushing TD.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Manitou Springs, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Valley 31-28. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose.
Manitou Springs's victory lifted them to 1-1 while Faith Christian's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Manitou Springs can add another positive mark to their record or if Faith Christian can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Manitou Springs's step.
