Volleyball Recap: Mayer Takes a Loss

Mayer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Anthem Prep Eagles, falling 3-0. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-7, 25-19.

Mayer's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Anthem Prep, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-3.

Coming up, Mayer is taking a road trip to challenge Ash Fork at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anthem Prep, they will welcome Bagdad at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
