Softball Recap: Hale Ray Has No Trouble Against East Hampton

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hale Ray and East Hampton meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Noises put the hurt on the Bellringers with a sharp 17-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Noises, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lily Jahne was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Briella Dean, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted over her last ten contests. Another player making a difference was Faith Kalisz, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Hale Ray was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Hampton only posted a batting average of .321.

Hale Ray's record now sits at 9-3. As for East Hampton, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
