Softball Recap: Poly Takes a Loss

Poly came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Chavez Eagles, falling 14-4. The Parrots have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Poly saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ROCHELLE MORENO, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Chavez, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poly will venture away from home to face off against Verdugo Hills at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chavez, they will head out to take on San Fernando at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
