Basketball Recap: Nestucca Takes a Loss

Nestucca lost against Clatskanie back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Nestucca Bobcats fell just short of the Clatskanie Tigers by a score of 36-33. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly three points.

This is the second loss in a row for Nestucca and nudges their season record down to 15-10. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 19-6 Knappa (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 78% over those games). As for Clatskanie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-5 record this season.

Nestucca does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clatskanie, they will take on Knappa at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Knappa sitting on three straight victories and Clatskanie on four.
