Basketball Recap: Motivation Takes a Loss

Motivation lost against Lincoln Leadership Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Motivation Jaguars took a 54-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lincoln Leadership Academy Lions. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while the Lions are ranked 252nd).

Despite the loss, Motivation still got an impressive performance from Chace White, who posted 14 points in addition to six boards and six steals. White is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last seven games he's played. Jamal Bernard was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Leading Lincoln Leadership Academy to victory were Robert Baker and Dwight Prud'Homme. Baker went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points and seven rebounds, while Prud'Homme almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Emil Rodriquez, who put up four points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Motivation's record now sits at 15-8. As for Lincoln Leadership Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Motivation wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 94-70 loss against Overbrook on the 7th. Lincoln Leadership Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
