Baseball Recap: Pallotti Takes a Loss

If Pallotti was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Sts. Peter & Paul on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Park School Bruins on Thursday, falling 12-3. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost nine in a row.

Pallotti saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makhai Barber, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Gus Chackmakian-Lodge was another, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Pallotti now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Park School, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pallotti will venture away from home to face off against Key at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Park School, they will head out to take on St. Frances Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 12.8 runs per game this season.
