It was a good run, but Overton unfortunately witnessed the end of their 13-game winning streak on Tuesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the seven matchups prior), but the Bearcats's pitcher proved too tough.

Overton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mason Fenter, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Overton's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 16-9-1. As for Beckville, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-7-2.

While Overton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
