Soccer Game Preview: Olympic Heights vs. Leonard

The Olympic Heights Lions will square off against the Leonard Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Olympic Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

If Olympic Heights beats Leonard with three goals on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Olympic Heights came out on top against Park Vista by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Cobras are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Olympic Heights hit Park Vista with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kauan Ferraz, Kaua Kunz, and Caua Santos.

Meanwhile, Leonard kept a clean sheet against West Boca Raton on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bulls with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won six matches by four goals or more so far this season.

Leonard has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 34 goals over those nine contests. As for Olympic Heights, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-2-1.
