While Sebring's victory against Avon Park wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Sebring came out on top in a nail-biter against Avon Park on Friday, sneaking past 10-9. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Streaks, who have now won eight contests in a row.

Tera Lynn Price made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sebring got a massive performance out of Casey Elfers`, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Cailyn McWaters was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3.

Sebring was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Avon Park only posted a batting average of .286.

Sebring's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Avon Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Sebring will welcome Frostproof at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sebring is facing Frostproof at the right time seeing as Frostproof is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Avon Park, they will venture away from home to take on Lakeland at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Lakeland has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.44 runs per game on average), something Avon Park will no doubt try to take advantage of.
