Basketball Recap: Hawthorne Skates Past Calvary Chapel with Ease + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hawthorne). They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Calvary Chapel Grizzlies 73-16. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their 30-point performance the game before.

Kyron Blanchette produced another solid performance putting up 25 points. His evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Bruce Perez was another key player, scoring 16 points.

Hawthorne is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Calvary Chapel, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Hawthorne will host Pioneer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Calvary Chapel, they will square off against Rosemead at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
