Kanab is 9-1 against Milford since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Kanab Cowboys will be playing at home against the Milford Tigers at 3:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Kanab is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Beaver, who was ranked fifth at the time (Kanab was ranked 17th). Kanab lost 10-2 to Beaver on Wednesday. The Cowboys have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kanab saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zachary Warino, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Kolton Blomquist also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Milford didn't have quite enough to beat Gunnison Valley on Saturday and fell 6-4.

Milford has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. Kanab's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went Kanab's way against Milford when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Kanab made off with a 12-2 win. Does Kanab have another victory up their sleeve, or will Milford turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
