Soccer Recap: Sun Valley Takes a Loss

Sun Valley lost against Downingtown East back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Vanguards lost 6-0 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Sun Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 439th, while Downingtown East are ranked 50th).

Sun Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8-2 record this season. As for Downingtown East, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sun Valley will square off against Unionville at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Downingtown East, they will take on Roman Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
