Softball Recap: Chase Finds Home Field Redemption Against Asheville

There's no place like home for Chase, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Asheville Cougars on Friday as the Chase Trojans made off with a 9-2 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-1 last Monday.

Mikenna Holland was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Charlize Byrd, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Chase now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Asheville, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Chase didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 22-8 victory against Hendersonville on the 11th. As for Asheville, they have also already played their next contest, a 16-1 defeat against Mitchell on the 11th.
