Football Recap: James River Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Hidden Valley last Friday, James River came back down to earth. The Knights lost to the Radford Bobcats on the road by a 38-22 margin on Friday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Bobcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why James River lost, don't look at Gavin Binns. Despite the final result, he rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns.

Radford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colten Garner-Rollins led the charge by picking up 59 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

James River's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Radford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Coming up, James River will be playing at home against Martinsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Knights will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Radford, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against William Byrd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Terriers' defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
