Basketball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto was the 70-55 winner over Belton-Honea Path when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Palmetto Mustangs took a 62-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belton-Honea Path Bears on Wednesday.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Belton-Honea Path, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-8.

Palmetto will be playing at home against Carolina Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto is facing Carolina Academy at the right time seeing as Carolina Academy is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Belton-Honea Path, they will venture away from home to face off against West-Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Belton-Honea Path has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 201 points over their last three games.
