The 6-foot-3 dual-threat quarterback is the nation's No. 79 recruit according to the 247Composite. He is the No. 4 player at his position.

Waller is a big reason why Servite is the nation's No. 10-ranked team in the MaxPreps Preseason Top 25 Early Contenders. Last season, he threw for 1,669 yards and 12 scores while rushing for 1,293 yards.

His athleticism and mobility should make him a great fit in Oregon's prolific offense.

He also fills a big void at quarterback for the Ducks' class. Oregon recently lost out on Blake Barnett, who left Oregon at the altar in favor of Alabama.

Missing out on Waller is a blow to Notre Dame's quest to land a quarterback in its 2015 class, since Barnett decommitted from the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame has hosted several of the nation's top 2016 recruits at the position already but could still end up with a quarterback in 2015.

Though Waller's commitment to Oregon is significant, it was not unexpected. The 247 Crystal Ball was 73 percent in Oregon's favor.

Waller's top target, Equanimeous St. Brown, remains uncommitted. He is one of the nation's top receivers.
