Football Recap: Palm Harbor University Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Palm Harbor University unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Calvary Christian Warriors 37-3 on Friday. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 45-7 to the Warriors when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Chris Silvestro threw for 79 yards on six of 11 attempts. Jake Rennert was his top target, picking up 75 receiving yards.

Lane Roberts had an outrageously good game for Calvary Christian as he rushed for 144 yards and five scores on only 12 carries. Those five rushing touchdowns gave Roberts a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Palm Harbor University will be playing at home against Tarpon Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Calvary Christian, they will head out to face off against Lely at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
