Basketball Recap: Delaware Academy Comes Up Short

Delaware Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 42-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sidney Team. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 63-47 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

Delaware Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sidney, the victory (which was their sixth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Delaware Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Walton at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Sidney and Unatego will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Unatego's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Sidney's offense will have their work cut out for them.
