Volleyball Game Preview: Rocklin Thunder vs. Vacaville Bulldogs + Official Tickets

The Rocklin Thunder will square off against the Vacaville Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Rocklin sitting on nine straight wins and Vacaville on five.

Rocklin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Atwater as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Rocklin was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-8, 25-15.

Devon Schweitzer was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 12 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Schweitzer wasn't the only good servers: Rocklin was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Vacaville earned a 3-1 win over Lodi on Tuesday.

Vacaville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-19.

Vacaville's victory bumped their record up to 25-11. As for Rocklin, their win bumped their record up to 31-4.
