Soccer Game Preview: Prospect vs. Wheeling

The Prospect Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Wheeling Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Prospect is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Elk Grove on Tuesday. The Knights and the Grenadiers finished up their match with a 2-2 draw.

Meanwhile, Wheeling's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Buffalo Grove by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Wheeling came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Buffalo Grove are ranked 361st).

Wheeling has now lost nine of their last 11 games on the road. That gives them a 2-2-1 record this season. As for Prospect, they are now 3-2-1, having gone 3-1-1 since their five-game losing streak ended.
