Basketball Recap: Surry HomeSchool Find Success

Surry HomeSchool saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 46-38 win over the Lab University Prep Varsity Kings.

It was another big night for Dylan Butcher, who posted 25 points. Those 25 points gave him a new career-high. Heath Clark was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the loss, Lab University Prep Varsity saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Moses Springer went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The game was Springer's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Surry HomeSchool's record now sits at 6-11. As for Lab University Prep Varsity, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Surry HomeSchool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-54 loss against South Guilford HomeSchool on the 21st. As for Lab University Prep Varsity, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Non Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
