Softball Recap: Hampton Talbots vs. North Catholic Trojans
Hampton stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past the North Catholic Trojans 15-3. The victory was nothing new for Hampton as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Hampton got a massive performance out of Katelyn Dubee, who went 2-for-2 with a home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Reese, who went 4-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.
Hampton pushed their record up to 9-1 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for North Catholic, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
Hampton will be playing in front of their home fans against Montour at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hampton knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Montour likes a good challenge. As for North Catholic, they will head out on the road to challenge Chartiers Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
