West Iredell is 0-6 against Hickory since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Red Tornadoes at 7:00 p.m. West Iredell is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.5 runs per game this season.

On Friday, West Iredell came up short against North Lincoln and fell 9-4.

Trae Clyburn made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Love, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Hickory made easy work of Foard on Friday and carried off an 11-1 win. That ten run margin sets a new team best for the Red Tornadoes this season.

Hickory has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for West Iredell, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

West Iredell couldn't quite get it done against Hickory in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-4. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
