Basketball Recap: Proviso West Takes a Loss

Proviso West was the 72-62 winner over York when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Proviso West Panthers took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the York Dukes on Friday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Proviso West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for York, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-13 record this season.

Looking ahead, Proviso West will be playing at home against Marian Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marian Catholic will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Proviso West surely won't give up without a fight. As for York, they have already played their next game, a 45-38 loss against Libertyville on the 8th.
