Volleyball Recap: Oldenburg Academy's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oldenburg Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Rushville Lions with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Twisters also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Oldenburg Academy's got stronger as the match went on, holding Rushville to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-13, 25-6.

Rachel Suttmann paced Oldenburg Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Suttmann got some help from Campbell Miles and her nine assists. Suttmann was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oldenburg Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Rushville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Oldenburg Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Lanesville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Rushville, they will take on Roncalli at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
